Honest project management software comparisons and reviews
Choosing project management software is hard. Every tool claims to be the best, every comparison site has an affiliate agenda, and most of the "top 10" lists are just ranked by whoever pays the highest commission.
We do things differently. Every comparison on PMCompared is based on actual usage, verified pricing, independent lab data (where available), and G2/Capterra user reviews — not affiliate payouts. If a tool has a weakness, we say so. If a cheaper tool does the job better, we tell you that too.

How We Rate Tools
We score each tool on five dimensions, weighted by what matters most for teams:
| Dimension | Weight | What We Look At |
|---|---|---|
| Features | 30% | Gantt, Kanban, automations, views, integrations, API |
| Ease of Use | 25% | Onboarding time, UI clarity, learning curve, mobile experience |
| Pricing | 20% | Value per dollar, free tier quality, pricing transparency |
| Scalability | 15% | Performance with large teams, permission depth, SSO/SAML |
| Customer Reviews | 10% | G2, Capterra, TrustRadius aggregate scores and sentiment |
No tool gets a perfect score. The "best" tool is the one that fits your team's size, budget, and workflow — not the one with the most features.
